Hrithik Roshan starts filming for Mohenjo Daro in Bhuj

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan started filming for director Ashutosh Gowariker’s film Mohenjo Daro in Bhuj in Gujarat on January 27, 2015. However, majority of the filming will be done in South Africa. Hrithik Roshan has reportedly charged Rs. 50 crores for this film.

Mohenjo Daro is an epic adventure-love story directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and Disney India. The film features Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. The film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation that dates back to 2600 BC. Music for the film is composed by A. R. Rahman. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on August 12, 2016.

On the film’s plot, Ashutosh Gowariker was quoted as saying, “While the plot will follow the discovery of Mohenjo Daro and the culture and the vibe of the ancient civilisation, it will largely centre on a love story.”

The film stunts would be choreographed by Glenn Boswell and the costumes are designed by April Ferry. Karen Goulekas, who has done the VFX for Hollywood films such as The Day After Tomorrow and 10,000 BC, is the visual effects supervisor for Mohenjo Daro.
